I Want A Good Calling Card To Call Italy?

Question:

My boyfriend is stationed at Avaino Air Force base. What is the best international calling card I can get to call him from usa. He has some kind of cell phone over there. I have heard of yahoo IM. What all is needed for that?

Answer:

  1. If your boyfriend has access to a PC, then by far, the cheapest way to call Italy from USA would be to use VoIP. “In-Network” calling PC-PC, or VoIP phone – VoIP phone, is almost always free, through many VoIP services.
But, if you are set on using a Calling Card, Tel3 does seem to have very good rates – to land phones.
If you can call your friend on a landline, you will save the most.
But, if you must call to his – Cell Phone – then be aware that “regardless” of whose low-cost calling service you use, it will cost you at least 20 cents/min to Mobiles in Italy. That is Tel3’s rate to cells (better than most)….. but just be aware that calling LD to Cells can be very expensive… no matter how you do it.

    yes. you are right!!!
voice.yahoo.com is one of the cheapest around!!
first you gotta download the software, its fast and easy….! then just start out with 10 dollars worth of credit….and the nicest part about it is the web-cam!! you can see your loved ones!!
the 10 dollars is for calling/out, but if you want someone to call you, then you will also need calling/in! Yahoo will give you a real phone-number…
