When you make a phone call with a calling card to a landline phone, the person you are calling will not be billed for the call in any way, shape, or form. However, if you are calling a cell phone number, remember that the person might have a limited amount of minutes and that most cell phone companies “charge you minutes” on both incoming and outgoing calls, so it’s possible that they will have to pay additional charges if you call their cell phone. Stick with calling their landline phone, if they have one, so that the person you are calling does not incur any type of charges.
As with all long distance phone calls, the recipient of the call does not pay anything extra to receive your calls, be it from a calling card or otherwise.
