Calling Card For Dialing From Brazil Back To Usa?

As American travelers to Brazil we sometimes get access to phones that can only dial toll-free numbers… is there a calling card we can use to call back to the US? Thanks

Hi Hi,
I use the MCI phone card to call the USA whenever I’m away. It’s from MCI so I know their phone cards will work and the lines are clear. They have toll free access as well.
There is only a .50cent pay phone surcharge with absolutely no fees. Avoid phone cards with weird fees like connection and taxes, I’ve been burned way too many times.
Good luck and have a great time!

What Is The Diference Between A Long Distance Card And A Calling Card?

I need a card that will not show my number on the phone bill. which one is best? which is cheaper? what is the difference between them?

If I buy an international calling card to call someone in Europe, I know that the minutes on my card get knocked off, but will the person who answers the phone get billed for an international call?
Answer:

  1. Usually no they would not, but that also depends on what type of calling card you are using and what their restrictions are. Always go with a well known calling card company. Most of the big names are a little more versatile and easier to use. Heres a few, this may help. I think comfi is the best choice but that is my personal opinion.
  2. Hello. The answer to your question is, No. The minutes come off of the card that you have purchased. If you call from your cell phone you will use your allowed minutes (plan minutes), and then pay the rate advertised where you purchased the phone card. You can search Yahoo for (phone cards), and select from good companies. I use two that I have been satisfied.

If I were to use a random calling card from my home phone, when the phone bill came in, would it show the number I called? Or would it just be the pin number from the calling card?

Question:
i am on the limited plan of 200 minutes. will it affect my monthly bill if i use a calling card when my 200 minutes are up?

Answer:

I am planning for a cruise and I was wondering if you can use a calling card from the phones in the rooms. I will be traveling with Royal Caribbean cruise lines. I know that you can use their phones to make calls but it costs almost $8.00 a minute. Any information would be appreciated.
