I am working in NewYourk, my friends live in Philippines.Usually I call them by landline phone,I found the phone bill is so scared me.I heard from my friends that international phone cards can save big money.
So where to buy a cheapest phone card? onlinne or from a store?which is cheaper?
If they don’t have a computer or a webcam that might be a problem, I usually use Hello Asia, or Asia. You can try the Phil. stores, they also sell some phone cards that are made exclusively for calling the Philippines.
There’s one store on 61st street (61st & Roosevelt intersection) in Woodside that sells phonecards and lists all the cards rates to the countries you want to call. It’s right by the stairs to the LIRR in front of the post office.

Hi, Are you calling a land line or mobile number?
I was looking for cards as well to call Philippines. Apparently it cost more to call a mobile number with a phone card. I learned that after I found a helpful video on youtube video.
I bought a card that has a 10.5cents per minute rate to phone a land line. The only fee it had was a .49cent monthly fee but I know my family is going to use up that card within the month.
You can get a Sprint card at Safeway…If they have a computer you can talk for free if you use windows live ,AIM, or any of the other free IM services.
try yahoo voice.
