Most calling card services provide “local” access numbers, or 1-800 toll free numbers. Any time you call a local or 1-800/866/877/888 toll free number, it will not show up on your phone bill.
Because your call is being routed via the local or toll free numbers, then the number you call does not show up on your local telco phone bill, because as far as they are concerned you only placed a local call.
But, your calling card service will have a record of your long distance call through their service. Typically, you can view your calling records through their website with your login credentials, or they may itemize your calls when you get a monthly statement from the calling card company….. just depends on who the service provider is.
