I have made a few calls on a Geo-Africa calling card that states,for example, 1 hr 11 minutes available, but I get cut off after only 40 minutes stating time had expired. This drives the rate from a published 14.5 cents/minute to over 25 cents/min. Is there a more reliable card?
Most of these cards have small print such as:
(i)3 minute rounding off
(ii) Bi-weekly maintenance fee
(iii)Higher rate for cell phone or calling 1-800 access number as opposed to local access #s
(iv) Thes biz are not regulated, so they cheat and get away with it
(v) Connection fee
(vi) Depends also on location and whether the card is meant for a different location
Anyway, here are some of the best ways forward (in order of preference):
(i) Get skype has not too low but very very clear calls
(ii)Try these cards

(iii) Caribone.com
Best idea is not to always use one card: after they know (i think) that you are loyal, the level of service suddenly deteriotes
The rate calling to cellphone is different, usually higher.
